This double fronted single story Terrace in the Inner West Council area was a perfect candidate for a first floor addition. It is just visible at the back.

From the back yard, we have matched the existing additions below.

This property being very wide had 1500mm set back requirements to comply with the design guidelines.

A new staircase out of recycled Kauri pine was designed and built between the back of the laundry and the toy room.

A window was placed over the stair for natural light on the ground floor level.

The Kauri Pine was hand crafted on site by our skilled tradesman out of two very old church Pews.

The floor was also installed out of recycled Kauri pine flooring out of a few old buildings.

The timber doors and high light panels were salvaged out of a building from the same period.

The fire place and tiles were also bought from an antique dealer and the chipped glaze was repaired with coloured epoxy before laying.

The highlight windows give a good level of privacy as well as natural light.

The new bed off the parents lounge retreat has a walk in robe before the bathroom.

The hexagon travertine floor tile gauge lines up neatly with the door opening and shower screen. The floor wastes were also set out at plumbing stage to land correctly. The vanity was imported from France by the previous owner and relocated upstairs.
