The kitchen, laundry and toilet is re designed more centrally so than a bifold door opening is made to the rear courtyard.
On this terrace, we set in the ground floor addition slightly so that the highlight window could catch northerly light and the rain water tanks were tucked neatly away.
On this terrace, there was ample width for the dining adjacent to the galley kitchen on one side and the lounge on the other.
The out door courtyard linking with the inside.
The retained portion of the lightwell gives adequate light and ventilation to the new kitchen and retained dining room.
The upper rear skillion wing is supported on structural steel beams and posts in the walls below.
New Bifold doors link outside to inside where the old laundry, toilet and Kitchen used to be.
In this kitchen, the ovens are to the right of the cooktop. There is a good working triangle between the ovens, sink and fridge.
In this kitchen, we designed the oven below the cook top. There is also the laundry cupboard behind cabinet doors to the right of the pull out pantry.
