The Kitchen, Laundry and toilet is designed centrally so that a bi fold door opening is made from the new lounge to rear courtyard.
On this terrace we designed the addition to be set in slightly from the side so that the highlight window could catch northerly light and the rainwater tanks were tucked neatly away out of sight.
Bifold doors were placed where the kitchen, Laundry and bath used to be.
There was ample width in this terrace for the dining table adjacent to the galley kitchen with the lounge on the opposite side.
a view of the galley kitchen from the lounge.
A view of the indoors from the entertaining courtyard.
The lightwell is retained here to provide adequate light and ventilation to the new kitchen and retained dining room.
In this kitchen we designed the ovens to the left of the cook top. With this style of kitchen there is a good working triangle between the ovens, sink and fridge.
The upper rear skillion wing is supported on structural steel beams and posts within the walls.
This kitchen has the laundry cupboard behind cabinet doors to the left of the pull out pantry. There is also an appliance cabinet behind the sliding glass splashback.
