Terrace House Attic Additions
Request an obligation free site visitIf you are looking at adding value to your terrace house whilst you are living in it, whether that be for the long, medium or short term, then you can’t go wrong with an attic conversion from Special Terrace House.
Why Renovate Your Terrace Attic?
When doing the maths many of our past clients have admitted that to sell and buy a larger place somewhere else, to gain the extra room, the equation worked out as follows:
- The cost of government stamp duty on the new property plus
- Solicitors fees for conveyancing plus
- Real estate agents commission plus
- Marketing Campaigns for the sale of their current terrace house plus
- Removalist bills = More than the cost of the new attic addition which satisfied their situation.
This in turn equates to a cost that could be refunded back to them should they decide to sell and retire at a later date.
At the end of the deal if the potential is there you are far better off with an attic addition from Special Terrace House-hosted by Martyn Calleia.
All our attics are built to the very highest degree of quality and craftsmanship. Martyn also likes to design the stairs to match in with the existing style retaining and continuing the architectural features of the period so that there is a smooth transition between the existing levels and the new level created.
Legally added to the property title through council approval you can be assured that you won’t be bumping your head with the new design and your investment with us will be rewarded back to you for many years to come.
Below are the terrace house designs we’ve previously constructed. Click on your existing floor plan and we’ll give you a glimpse of what we can provide you.
our simple hassle free approach
When you have a new attic addition by Special Terrace House you can also be sure that we’ll do our best to achieve minimal disturbance to you in two ways:

1. Using an external access scaffold and

2. Building a drop down well box which is a temporary platform we build in your hall to keep your terrace house secure, warm, private and as much as possible to keep away the dust prior to the installation of the match existing staircase.
What are the next steps?
If you are then curious about what your Special Terrace House Attic conversion would be valued at and would like more personal attention, then please fill in your details on the quoting information page and Martyn can be in touch to meet with you at your convenience to present your tailor made quote for what you require.
If you proceed from there, your next step would then be to have us measure up and formally finalise your design and quote which would involve a small agreed design cost. This is for a basic attic design with respect to your existing precise terrace house measurements, existing and proposed first floor stair design and the attic room design.
Additional costs could then be agreed for designing more options if required and other re worked floor plans, however these would be advised if you request them.
The agreed design costs would be included in the quoted price and would be deducted from the tender should you proceed with the building work. Alternatively, from there, we could draw up the council plans only, and sell you ownership of the copyright, if you would like to owner build or have other quotes prior to work proceeding.
